On Nov 23 Friday, Arnold passed away after having suffered a stroke the night before.  Arnold was 92 years old and the longest playing member of the SBTTC.  His defense and love for the game were infectious.

For many years he hosted the Elkhart TTC at the High Dive Pavilion.  Often he paid the $50 nightly rent out of his pocket to keep the club going.   Arnold also enjoyed doing the South Bend club ratings and posting

them each week.  Marcia (wife) and Arnold have supported SBTTC for many years.  Marcia always bringing home baked treats for the Thursday league.  His son and daughter bringing him every week down from

Benton Harbor to get out of the house and play the one sport he truly love - Table Tennis.

He will be missed each and every Thursday where he and Marcia sat.  Rest in Peace my Good Man!

Starting August 21, the schedule for Tuesdays will revert back to 7:30-9:30 pm.  The rest of the schedule will stay the same with Thursday night league from 5:30-9:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00-6:00 pm.

*NEWS FLASH*...This past Thursday night league, we had 16 players.  To all the former members of the club, come on down and have some fun playing and hanging out with your friends.  You know you want to do it.  Together, let's drive that attendance number up to 20 players or more!

On August 9, The Terrific Trio of Brad Balmer, Brandon Nimtz, and Nicole Cullison swept all three groups of the Thursday night league.  What makes this so special is that they are all from one family and have a long history with the club!  Brad was one the original organizers of the modern South Bend Table Tennis Club back in the early 90's.  Brandon and Nicole are Brad's children and were members of the first junior team.  Good job on your performances and keep up the good work!
